Director dealings: CLS deputy chair linked to purchase, Paragon CEO covers tax bill
(Sharecast News) - CLS Holdings was on the list of director buys on Wednesday, after its deputy chairman was linked to a purchase worth more than £2.5m. The company said Creative Value Investment VI Limited picked up two million shares on 23 August, in a single transaction on the London Stock Exchange.
It paid 125.7p for each share, valuing the transaction at £2,514,000.00.
In its disclosure, CLS said Creative Value Investment VI Limited is closely associated with its non-executive director and deputy chairman, Anna Seeley.
It also described the entity as an investment vehicle of the Sten and Karin Mortstedt Family & Charity Trust.
On the selling side of the ledger was Paragon Banking Group, after its chief executive officer covered his tax bill on the exercise of a number of options.
The firm said Nigel Stewart Terrington exercised 55,302 nil-cost options on 23 August, which were granted under the Paragon Deferred Share Bonus Plan.
He then sold 26,045 shares to cover his tax withholding obligations and dealing costs, at 503.7948p apiece, netting a total of £131,213,36.
As a result, Terrington retained 29,257 shares from the exercise.
At the close on Wednesday, shares in CLS Holdings were up 1.62% at 125.6p, while those in Paragon Banking Group were 1.57% firmer at 506p.
