Director dealings: Purplebricks chair makes most of early share slump
(Sharecast News) - Purplebricks was at the top of the list of director buys on Tuesday, as its chairman made the most of a morning slump in its share price. The online estate agent disclosed that non-executive chair Paul Pindar purchased 2.5 million shares on the London Stock Exchange.
Pindar paid 14.76p for each share, spending a total of £368,999.99 in the process.
Following the transaction, Purplebricks said Paul and Sharon Pindar together held 14,081,056 of its shares, representing 4.59% of its total issued capital.
Purplebricks shares slumped as low as 14p in early trading on Tuesday, after it revealed a full-year loss as it struggled to execute a new operating model, while setting aside cash to cover problems at its lettings division.
The company, which tried to shake up the market as a fixed-fee agency, revealed in delayed results an operating loss of £42m in the 12 months to 30 April compared with a profit of £7m a year ago.
By 1452 BST, shares in Purplebricks Group had recovered and were trading up 0.17% at 15.02p.
Elsewhere, ProCook reported a purchase worth almost £18k made by its chief financial officer.
The company said Daniel Walden bought 50,000 shares on Monday for 35.6p apiece, valuing the transaction at £17,800.
