Director dealings: Watches of Switzerland insiders buy dip, Woodside execs vest and sell

(Sharecast News) - Watches of Switzerland Group had several entries on the list of director buys on Monday, after it made four separate disclosures to the market. In the first, it said non-executive director Tea Colainni purchased 8,500 shares for 586.3p each, for a total of £49,835.

Chief financial officer Anders Romberg meanwhile picked up 100,000 shares for 584.7p apiece, valuing the transaction at £584,700.

The third disclosure showed chair Ian Carter bought a total of 35,000 shares across 78 transactions for prices between 585p and 589.5p, for a total spend of £206,690.

Finally, non-executive director Robert Moorhead purchased 8,495 shares for 584.2p each, giving that transaction an aggregate value of £49,628.

All of the transactions took place in London on 1 September, several days after the company's share price partially collapsed in the wake of Rolex's acquisition of its competitor Bucherer.

Despite Watches of Switzerland seeking reassurances from Rolex that its purchase of a competing retail network would not affect its distribution and allocation policies, its shares still fell around 25% on the news.

Elsewhere, Woodside Energy Group made three disclosures on Monday, after a number of executive share transactions took place.

The company said its head of international operations Shiva McMahon vested equity rights over 13,355 shares at nil cost under the Supplementary Woodside Equity Plan.

McMahon then sold 3,368 shares on the Australian Securities Exchange for AUD 36.88 each, giving the sale a total value of AUD 124,211.84 (£63,611.75).

In the second disclosure, Woodside said its executive vice-president and chief financial officer Graham Tiver vested equity rights over 32,307 shares at nil cost, also under the Supplementary Woodside Equity Plan.

Tiver then sold 14,538 shares on the ASX for AUD 37.43 apiece, valuing the sale at AUD 544,157.34.

The third disclosure outlined how shares were purchased on the market on behalf of four non-executive directors, under the company's non-executive directors share plan.

It said 617 shares were purchased for Frank Charles Cooper, 497 for Swee Chen Goh, 240 for Ian Elgin Macfarlane, and 700 for Benjamin Sana Wyatt.

All of the shares were purchased for AUD 36.85 each, on 31 August.

At 1420 BST, shares in Watches of Switzerland Group were up 3.1% at 607.78p, while those in Woodside Energy Group were 1.04% firmer at 1,942p.
