Director dealings: Wetherspoon CEO makes £0.14m sale, Rio Tinto non-exec invests
(Sharecast News) - Wetherspoon was on the list of director sells on Friday, after the company disclosed a transaction worth more than £0.14m made by its chief executive officer. The pub operator said John Hutson sold 18,000 of his shares on the London Stock Exchange on 12 May.
Hutson sold the shares for 780.13p each, valuing the transaction at a total of £140,423.06.
On the buying side of things, a non-executive director spent almost £25k on shares in Rio Tinto, the company revealed.
Ngaire Woods bought 500 shares in London on 11 May, for 4,920.66p apiece, spending a total of £24,603.30 on the investment.
At 1126 BST, shares in Rio Tinto Group were up 0.07% at 4,886p, while those in JD Wetherspoon were down 0.13% at 778p.
